Our annual friendly chess meeting with Knockanes National School today hosted by 5th and 6th . A wonderful time meeting new friends and brushing up on our chess skills . ♟️♟️

The children from 3rd to 6th class enjoyed a very informative and engaging talk today with David Swift from the Heritage in Schools programme. David spoke to the children about the Normans in Ireland and brought along a range of fascinating artefacts for the children to hold and examine. The children learned a huge amount and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A big thank you to David for a fantastic visit and to Mt. Fiona for organising

Thanks to Fr Pàdraig for leading us in our annual Grandparents Mass today. Many thanks to Second Class for hosting, to our school choir, to the parents in First Class for all the lovely baking, and to all the staff for creating such a lovely memory for the pupils! 💓💓

The children from 3rd to 6th class enjoyed a very informative interactive talk with Siobhan and Tara from Knockreer House over the last couple of weeks. The talk taught the children about plants and animals that live and grow in the bog, the importance of preserving our bogs and the positive effect it has on our environment. A bit thank you to Siobhan and Tara and to múinteoir Fiona for organising the visit.

Well done to all who donated items of food and toys to St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. Pat and Breeda from SVDP were delighted to collect the donations today!

What a beautiful day for a little walk 😀 1st to 4th class enjoyed a trip to the playground, a walk through the National Park, a tour of Killarney House, an outdoor serving of their hot meals 🤣, a tour of the Franciscan Friary including a visit to their most beautiful crib and a little hot chocolate at Lír to finish the day! Many thanks to all especially Br. Pat at the Friary for his time.🙏🎄⛄
